In-line Deflagration Flame Arresters
In-line Deflagration Flame Arresters are designed to prevent the propagation of flames in the piping system. By locating the arrester in close proximity to the potential source of ignition, any flame or explosion is confined to the immediate area.
End-of-Line Deflagration Flame Arresters
End of Line Flame arrester are designed to protect against atmospheric deflagration where the ignition source originates outside of the system.
In-Line Detonation Flame Arresters
In-Line Detonation Flame Arresters specifically designed for pipelines that are manifolded or with a significant distance between the ignition source and the flame arrester or for use where the pipe is rough, bent or obstructed.
Pressure Protection
Low Pressure Protection Equipment is designed to protect tanks from rupture or implosion during filling or emptying cycles. Pressure/vacuum Relief valves limit product loss and environmental discharges whilst also protecting tanks during thermal changes.Their range of low-pressure protection equipment is designed to safeguard tanks and vessels from under or over pressure, during both normal and emergency conditions.
Pressure & Vacuum Relief Valves
Pressure & Vacuum Relief Valves (PVRV), also known as Breather Valves and Conservation Vents, have weight-loaded or spring-loaded pallets. Flow through the Pressure & Vacuum Relief Valve is controlled by the weight of the pallet or the spring force acting on the pallet to keep the device closed.
Once the pressure or vacuum in the tank reaches the pallet closing force, the pallet will start to lift off the seat and allow flow through the PVRV Valve.
FAB Valveâ„¢ Series
The product functions as a combined end-of-line Pressure & Vacuum Relief Valve and a deflagration Flame Arrester. The Pressure Relief Valve prevents vapour losses up to the specified set pressure and ensures reliable protection against excessive pressure.
The Elmac Technologies® FAB Valve™ Series incorporates Elmac’s E-Flow™ enhanced crimped ribbon technology in the Flame Arrester element. The channel dimensions of the Flame Arrester element are optimised for deflagration protection; whilst ensuring minimal maintenance requirements and maximum flow performance.
Emergency Relief Vents
Emergency Relief Vents are fitted to storage tanks to allow emergency flow due to the excessive venting requirement from a fire burning around a storage tank. This eliminates a costly tank rupture, providing emergency venting from abnormal internal pressure beyond the capability of the pressure relief vent. In the event of a fire, the pallet will lift at a pre-determined pressure, thus creating a large venting area.
Tank Gauge Hatch
Provides tank access where manual level gauging, temperature measurement or sampling is required. The safety pedal allows the operator to open the Gauge Hatch whilst remaining ‘hands-free’ to carry out required measuring. An optional lockable version is also available.
Free Vents
Elmac Technologies FV Series Free Vents with weatherhood and mesh screen are designed to be installed on the exit vent from a vessel, to provide protection against excessive pressure and vacuum.
